How can I help my mom keep her new phone secure?

I'm looking for ways to help my mom protect her new phone after she had a bad experience in the past. About two years ago, she lost around $3000 from her bank account because someone used a remote access tool after she clicked on a malicious link. Since then, she's been really paranoid and decided to buy a new phone just for her banking apps and both SIM cards. What security measures can I take to help prevent this from happening again?

Sadly, there's only so much you can do with security settings if someone is easily fooled by phishing attempts. Focus on teaching her about internet safety. If she learns to recognize threats and avoid questionable links, she can greatly reduce her risk of getting scammed again.

I totally get that! Teaching her all of this is my main goal. Thanks for the advice!

While you can implement a bunch of security measures, the key is really educating her about safe internet practices. Make sure she knows not to click on suspicious links or download apps from untrustworthy sources. That's the first step to keeping her safe!
