I recently had a hard drive crash on my pre-built computer, and I need to identify the motherboard to ensure I can replace the drive properly. I thought this would be a simple task, but I'm hitting some roadblocks. Is it necessary to remove the hard drive to get a clear view of the motherboard? Looks like you've got an ASUS motherboard in there! Since it uses standardized parts, you should be able to swap out your hard drive with any M.2 NVMe drive without issues. That's assuming the M.2 NVMe drive is the one that failed.
