I'm having a problem with my CPU temperature reaching over 100 degrees Celsius while gaming. I suspect that my AIO cooler might have failed, so I'm planning to switch to a new air cooler. While I'm at it, I'm considering adding more fans to my case, which has space for 2 front fans, 2 top fans, 1 rear fan, and 1 bottom fan. I'm planning to install 2 front intakes and 1 rear exhaust. Here are my questions: 1) Should I add a bottom intake fan, especially since I have wood flooring? 2) Should I go for 1 or 2 top exhaust fans? Is it possible to have too much exhaust that air gets pulled out before it cools down properly, or is it better to have more exhaust? Thanks!

While case airflow typically isn’t as critical with an AIO, you can still add fans. If your temps are fine when idle, your AIO likely isn't dead. Also, if this issue just started, maybe it’s time to reapply thermal paste or check if the AIO was properly installed.
I’d recommend starting with the front intakes and rear exhaust for now. You can always add more fans later if you’re still not satisfied with the cooling performance.
High temperatures on an AIO can indicate a pump failure or a blockage in the loop. A single-fan AIO isn't ideal since it doesn’t outperform a good air cooler. If you need a replacement, consider a dual tower air cooler.
Check your BIOS to monitor the temperature. If it stabilizes, your AIO might not be dead; it could just struggle with your CPU’s heat output. If it keeps rising, then you might have a dead AIO.
