Hey everyone! I'm really struggling with my PC's performance and would love any advice on how to optimize it without buying new parts. Here's my current setup:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- **Motherboard:** ASUS PRIME A320M-K (PCIe 3.0)
- **GPU:** AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT (4GB VRAM)
I've noticed my GPU has some bottleneck issues. In games like Fortnite, it feels like my PCIe connection is the problem. In other titles like Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered and the GTA Trilogy, even though my CPU usage is low, my CPU seems to bottleneck my GPU. I'm looking for tweaks, driver settings, or software adjustments I can make to get a smoother gaming experience, ideally reaching stable 60 FPS. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Honestly, the RX 6500 XT isn't the strongest GPU out there. It's often held back by the PCIe 3.0 connection, so it's not going to perform at its best unless you upgrade to a motherboard with PCIe 4.0. If you're not looking to get new hardware, make sure you have features like XMP, DOCP, and resizable BAR enabled, as they might help a bit.
I totally get that! I’m in the same boat; can't afford to upgrade my motherboard anytime soon. I’ve noted that in some games, like Death Stranding, my GPU usage spikes but the performance still lags. Should I be considering a GTX 1660 Super, or is the RX 6600 a better fit?
