I'm trying to get the Jeff Wayne musical version of the War of the Worlds RTS game to run, but I'm running into a problem. I have Daemon Tools, and while it seems to start correctly, I get an error message that says something like '16-bit downloads aren't supported by 64-bit OS.' Can anyone help me figure out how to install this game? Also, if I'm posting in the wrong place, please let me know where I should go for help! Thanks!

You can use a tool called OTVDM, which lets some 16-bit Windows apps and games run on a 64-bit system. Just keep in mind that it may not work perfectly for all games, but it's worth giving it a try!

A solid option is to run your game inside a virtual machine that has the older OS it was designed for. Programs like VirtualBox or DOSBox can help you set that up and make it work smoothly without the compatibility issues you’re facing.
