I recently upgraded to a 9070XT from my RTX 3070, but I'm finding that my old card is actually performing better in FPS games. For example, I used to get around 120 FPS in Warzone and over 300 FPS in Valorant, but now I'm struggling to stabilize around 240 FPS in Valorant. I suspect my CPU might be bottlenecking the GPU since I'm on the AM4 platform. I'm playing on a 1440p 240Hz monitor, and I'm considering returning the 9070XT to Microcenter. Here are my specs: 9070XT, Ryzen 7 5800X, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, and an 850W PSU.

Make sure to check if XMP is still enabled for your RAM after the upgrade. And definitely consider doing a DDU for the Nvidia drivers before you do a fresh install of the AMD drivers. Also, double-check that you're not using different settings than before. If you were playing with DLSS on the 3070, you might not have that on the 9070XT, so remember to look for FSR options instead!
It sounds like you might be dealing with a driver conflict. Did you use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to cleanly uninstall your old Nvidia drivers before swapping to the 9070XT? The 9070XT should definitely provide better performance overall, so it’s worth troubleshooting.

Thanks for the tips! I didn't know about removing the old drivers. I don't actually use FSR or DLSS because I noticed the input lag.
