I'm having trouble downloading Linux for my Chromebook. My settings indicate that Linux isn't supported on my device, and I attempted to manually install it by entering development mode and downloading Crouton. I'm not sure what steps to take next, and I'm also concerned that I may have downloaded the wrong version. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

You should check if your Chromebook supports the Crostini feature, which allows running Linux applications on ChromeOS. Many newer models have this feature, while older ones might not. Crouton is an older method that used to work for Linux setups alongside ChromeOS. If you need help specifically with Crouton, I believe there's still a community for it, but it might feel outdated now.

I think my Chromebook might be too old for Crostini since I got it late in 2022.
