I have a large Acer PC that overheats my room during gaming sessions. After about 30 minutes of play, it feels like I'm in a sauna! My air conditioning isn't helping much since the thermostat is located in another room. In winter, I could just open the window to cool off, but that's not an option now in summer.
I'm considering getting a portable AC unit that can vent heat out of my door since my window won't work with any standard setups. I'd love to hear any suggestions or other solutions you've found for this issue. Thanks!

The best bet might be to decentralize the heat. If you can't vent out the warm air, consider moving your PC to a different room completely. This way, the heat won’t build up where you spend time.
Using a box fan can really help circulate the air in and out of your room. You could also look into improving the efficiency of your PC components. Just remember, venting an AC out the door isn't very effective. If your windows open, there are portable units with vent hoses that might work better for you.
I’m thinking of trying that box fan, but I usually keep my door shut. As for my PC, I need it running at peak performance, so I'm not sure that helps. I did consider making a custom exhaust attachment for the AC to fit under the door, but that might be too ambitious.
