I'm a 25-year-old male graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Thailand, where I'm not a citizen. I have a basic level of experience in web development, specifically with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python. For my capstone project, I developed a full-stack smart parking lot system using React and FastAPI, as well as some advanced technologies like network cameras, Raspberry Pi, and Jetson for edge inference. I've been self-debugging and learning a lot in the process.
I want to pursue roles in Cloud Engineering, SysAdmin, or Support. Right now, I'm focusing on AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes, and I've earned certifications like CKA, CKAD, and Terraform Associate.
I've worked on several cloud projects, including VPC peerings across accounts and regions, centralized logging with CloudWatch and S3, and creating an EKS cluster, all using Terraform. In my spare time, I read about Linux and practice SysAdmin tasks.
Despite my efforts, I'm struggling to get my first job. I've only made it through one resume screening and then got ghosted. I'd love some advice on how to land a job in Cloud, SysAdmin, or Support roles. How did you start your career in IT? I'm open to relocating for the right position.

Your CV needs to be customized for each job you apply to. Many screenings are done by AI or recruiters pressed for time, so highlight the key points from the job posting clearly. For AWS roles, make sure you showcase your AWS skills and experience upfront in easy-to-read bullet points.

I do use a master CV and tailor it for each job. I also follow an ATS-friendly format. However, since my projects are limited and I lack prior IT work experience, many of my applications end up looking similar. What else could I improve?
