I recently had my first job in a DevOps role, even though I was initially hired for my Power BI skills. During my time there, I managed to deliver multiple projects, earn several certifications, and lead a team of five interns. I worked with major cloud services like AWS, Azure, and GCP, and also handled two bare-metal servers. I even designed a platform for a sister business that offered DevOps courses and created training modules for them. However, I had to leave that position due to some issues, and now I'm wrapping up a fixed-term contract with a former client. I'm facing challenges finding a new job mainly due to visa concerns since I'm based in the UK. I want advice on how to stand out in my applications, considering I only have two years of experience, but I've worked on various projects including OT projects, SaaS, and AI. I also keep my skills sharp by maintaining a home server and building new projects daily.

It sounds like you've got a basic understanding of a lot of different areas, but remember that many applicants might have deeper expertise in specific technologies. Maybe you could focus on a couple of strengths in your applications to stand out more!
Have you considered applying for a student or fiancé visa? It might broaden your job opportunities significantly and give you a bit more flexibility while job hunting.
Hey, wishing you the best of luck in finding a new job! I'm curious, what specific OT projects did you work on, and what role did you play in them? It could really help people here understand your experience better!
Thanks! I worked on a couple of OT projects, including enhancing monitoring, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). One project helped set up a small factory where I designed network segmentation and set up telemetry over OPC UA.
Honestly, your experience might be lighter compared to others in the field. Keep in mind that many candidates have more extensive backgrounds, so framing your unique projects might be key to standing out!
Would you be open to reviewing my experience? I'm eager for any insights or suggestions!

I get what you mean. My experience comes from working in a startup where I needed to wear many hats. I can share more about my journey if you have any specific advice.
