I have a USB RAID formatted with ReFS that I originally set up on Windows Server 2022. After some time, one of the disks failed, so I connected the RAID to my updated Windows 11 24H2 system for resilvering, which worked fine and I can access my data. However, now the RAID isn't recognized on Windows Server 2022 anymore, and 'refsutil' shows the ReFS version as 3.14, which I think is why it works on Windows 11 but not on the server. I'm looking for options to make it compatible with Server 2022 again without having to reformat. Is there any way to update ReFS compatibility?

So there’s really no way to just update the ReFS support on my Server 2022? That seems a bit limiting!
As of now, Server 2022 doesn't support updating ReFS versions. The best bet for keeping compatibility would be to stick to the version available when you first used it, but this can be tricky if you're already using newer versions on other systems.
You might need to back up your data, reformat the RAID, and then restore the data. It’s a hassle, but that’s usually the safest approach with version compatibility issues. Alternatively, you could consider upgrading to Server 2025 if that's an option for you.
