I'm looking for help on how to mount a drive in read-only mode on Ubuntu. I've come across many guides, but they always focus on mounting drives with write access instead. Any step-by-step guidance would be great!

To mount a drive as read-only, you can edit the /etc/fstab file. Just replace the 'rw' (read-write) option with 'ro' (read-only) for the drive you want to mount. This way, it will always mount as read-only when you boot up.

How exactly do I edit this file? Should I do it through the disks app or something? Sorry for asking!
