I'm about to get a new iPhone and I really want to make sure I don't lose all my photos. However, I don't want to spend any money on iCloud storage. Is there another way I can transfer all my pictures over?

If you're dead set against iCloud, you can still back up your photos using your PC. Just sync your phone with the Photos app on Windows after copying your images to a specific folder. This way, you can organize them as you like without any cloud storage.

Honestly, if your photos mean that much to you, consider getting at least the basic iCloud plan. It's super affordable and worth the peace of mind. Plus, you can always use other free services like Google Photos for backups.

I totally agree! I use iCloud, Google Drive, and OneDrive just to make sure everything’s secure. It’s really cheap for the amount of memories you’re protecting.

You can use the Quick Start feature when setting up your new iPhone, which makes the transfer process pretty straightforward.
