Hey everyone! I just installed CachyOS on my laptop and it's my first time using Linux for myself. I have a pretty power-hungry laptop with an i9 14700HX processor and an RTX 4060 graphics card. While using Windows, I could get around three hours of battery while browsing. I know that Windows and Lenovo have some built-in features to help with battery life, so I'm looking for ways to achieve similar or even better battery life on Linux. Also, I need to set up hybrid graphics on this system. Any tips or advice to help improve my laptop's battery performance would be really appreciated!

Keep in mind that not all Linux distros lead to better battery life. I had a Ryzen 5500u laptop that saw worse battery performance on Linux Mint compared to Windows, while Fedora + GNOME had pretty much the same battery life as Windows. It's a bit hit or miss depending on your hardware and configuration. Test things out and see what works for you!
You don't really need to 'optimize' CachyOS like you did with Windows. Linux is more efficient in many ways, and most of the bloatware that sucks battery life is just not there. Just focus on learning the basics and adapt to how Linux runs. It'll be different but not necessarily worse!
Yeah, I'm trying to at least maintain what I had on Windows. I've heard about needing to set up hybrid graphics on Linux, so I'm looking into that too.
