Hey everyone, I've been a Windows user for ages, but I really want to switch to Linux since I can't stand Windows 11 and Windows 10 is about to lose support. I've dabbled in tech, but I'm not an expert. I've tried various Linux distros like Ubuntu, Mint, and Manjaro, but I keep hitting two major issues that make me stay on Windows. First, everything feels sluggish and slow, especially with my NVIDIA card—it's hard to explain, but it feels different from when I had an AMD one. Second, I can't seem to find a good alternative to VoiceMeeter; I specifically need something that offers functionality like the intellipan. Also, running my old standalone Windows games has been a challenge. Any advice?

I suggest checking out Pop!_OS if you're using an NVIDIA card. It's designed with NVIDIA users in mind, and I think you'll find it runs a lot better without the lag you're experiencing. Plus, you'll have access to a ton of games via Steam! Just a heads up; I'm not sure about alternatives to VoiceMeeter, though.
I've heard that Wayland is now a solid choice for NVIDIA users—maybe give that a shot! Just keep in mind that NVIDIA can have some quirks with Linux due to how those proprietary drivers work. If it’s an option for you, trying different desktop environments could also help improve performance.
