I'm having major issues with Windows Defender on my Windows 11 system. It seems to be causing drivers to disappear and apps to malfunction because it keeps flagging files as threats. I want to completely disable it, but every time I try to turn it off and restart, it just gets reactivated. I've tried various methods, including using DWS, editing the registry with DisableAntiSpyware, and applying settings via Group Policy, but nothing has worked. Has anyone successfully disabled Windows Defender permanently?

I checked all the apps, but it was useless. It’s been really frustrating trying to get this to work. Windows Defender feels like it’s got a mind of its own here.
Just a heads up, if you're trying to mess with system settings like this, it's important to back up your data first. Changing these settings can sometimes lead to data loss.
Are you absolutely sure the applications being removed aren’t actually malware, like bitcoin miners or RATs? If Windows Defender is bothering you this much, you might want to try using Shutup 10++. But remember, switching to Linux is also an option if you want to avoid these issues completely.
