Hey everyone! I'm relatively new to IT (about a year in) and I've just stepped up as the sole IT support at my organization after my IT Manager left. I'm trying to tackle a bit of a challenge with a UPS we have. It was bought about two years ago but never installed because it's too deep (20") for our existing wall-mount rack. Since we can run power cables out of the bottom of our current enclosure, I'm considering mounting the UPS below it. The issue is, I can't find any racks that are just 2U deep—most options are 12U and up. Do you think I should skip trying to rack-mount it and just use a heavy-duty shelf instead? Honestly, I'd prefer to use this UPS since it was expensive and we can't return it now.

Given that it's been two years, does the UPS have any floor mount feet? Maybe you could just use those and set it on the floor instead?
You might want to look into a 2U or 3U hanging wall rack that you can mount next to your existing rack. Check out options here: [Wall Racks](https://www.racksolutions.com/wall-racks.html). This way, if you ever get a different UPS that fits, you can easily remove the current one.
This is a solid suggestion, OP. Just make sure it's mounted to something sturdy and not just drywall, like a plywood backing attached to the studs.
I don't think you'll find a 2U rack for that depth, but I found a 6U rack that might work: [6U Rack](https://www.amazon.com/QWORK-Enclosure-Equipment-Lockable-Removable/dp/B0CS6HS1DT). It's 24" deep, so it should fit your UPS just fine!
Oh wow, this looks like just what I need! Other brackets I found didn't seem strong enough, but these could really do the job. Thanks a ton!
