How can I protect myself after malware was installed on my phone?

Hey everyone, I'm facing some serious issues because someone managed to install malware on my phone and accessed my credit card information. I got a notification from Chrome about a site called "speedcheck.org" trying to get access to all my apps, but luckily Chrome flagged it and blocked it. I've never visited that site nor heard of it until now. I've reported the situation to the police since I know who the person is, and they might have an accomplice. I just want to warn you all to stay away from that site, as it's apparently known for stealing personal data! I've managed to remove the malware, but I'm feeling overwhelmed. What should I do next?

Definitely report this to your credit card company's fraud department! They can help you stop your card and issue a new one with a different number. If you haven't done that yet, it's important because if they know about it, you won't be liable for any fraudulent charges. Make sure to do it ASAP!

It might also help to do a factory reset on your phone to wipe out any lingering malware. Just remember to back up your important data first. And if you’re getting weird notifications, it might be a good idea to turn off notifications for potentially harmful sites.

I can understand your panic! Just so you know, the most common way malware gets onto phones is through pop-ups that trick you into downloading something malicious. They often look like legitimate alerts. If you’re concerned, call your bank or credit card companies and let them know what’s happening. They can guide you on protecting your accounts, changing passwords, and setting up new security measures.
