I'm finding it really tedious to manually remove line breaks after pasting text from PDFs into Word documents. Is there a keyboard shortcut on Windows that can help me replace the line breaks with spaces instantly? Also, do you know of a method for removing any extra whitespace as well? Thanks for any tips!

You can use the search and replace function in Word! Just hit Ctrl+H to bring it up. In the 'Find what' box, type ^p for line breaks and replace it with a space. It makes fixing those PDF text issues really quick!
Also, don't forget to check your document's margins—sometimes it pulls in excess space that isn't necessary. That might help you reduce whitespace as well!
If you're looking for a faster solution, you might want to try using ^l for line breaks and ^w for whitespace in the search tool. Just remember to remove the space between the up arrow and the letter when you type it in!
