Hey everyone! I recently broke my phone and got a new one, and I'm trying to recover all my old information. The problem is, when I attempt to recover my Apple account, it asks for a phone number I used back in 2020 that's no longer active. It's also requesting some old debit card details. I'm currently logged into my iPhone X, but it's been ages since I logged into iCloud, and I can't do that without the old number. I even called that number hoping to get a verification code, but it's not active anymore. Is there a way for me to skip to the security questions in the recovery process?

It sounds like you're really stuck here. If you can't get through the initial recovery steps because of that old number, it might be more challenging. Just to clarify, once you're in the recovery process, they usually want to verify that old number first. You might need to look for an option that says something like 'didn't get the code' to proceed with your new number. Don't forget to check for any small blue text offering additional options! And remember, the credit card info is just extra and not always required.

Thanks for the tips! I checked, and I have about 13 hours left until they make a decision on my recovery. So I guess I'll wait it out. I really hope I can provide my new card info since it's linked to my iCloud through Apple Pay!
