I'm trying to regain access to my Snapchat account, but I need my old mobile number to receive a verification text. I haven't had that number for two years and I thought I had set it up with my email too, but it turns out I registered solely with the phone number. Snapchat's support isn't helping at all; they claim there's nothing they can do if I can't receive the text. This is frustrating because I have precious photos on there, including my daughter's birth and memories of family members who have passed away. Is there any way I can receive this text or verify my identity without that old number?

Unfortunately, that number probably belongs to someone else now. Your best bet is to try calling it to see who answers, but it’s likely they've reassigned it. You might be at a dead end unless you can find out the carrier and reclaim ownership. It’s a tough lesson about backing up important stuff, but sometimes these things happen.
Yeah, it's a bummer, but if you can't receive texts from that number anymore, it’s likely gone for good. If it’s a dead line, then that's a clear sign too. Good luck figuring it out—just make sure to back everything up next time!
