I'm trying to recover some precious photos stored on my grandmother's old iPhone, but unfortunately, the device won't turn on anymore. It does show a black screen with a red battery symbol, but that's as far as it goes. I doubt any photos were backed up to the cloud, and I can't tell which model it is. I'm hoping there's a way to get those memories of my grandfather back. Any suggestions?

It sounds like the battery might be too far gone. A lot of tech shops can replace old iPhone batteries, and it might be a simple fix. Just let them know the photos are the main concern, so they handle it carefully. You could even look for a local repair person who specializes in older models.
Definitely consider getting the battery replaced at a cell phone repair shop. Just a heads up, don’t send it to Apple—they could potentially wipe your data during the troubleshooting process. Make sure the repair shop knows how important these photos are to you!

Exactly! I'm thinking of treating it as a Christmas gift to help get the battery fixed.
