I'm working on my first PC build aiming for high 1440p gaming, but I've noticed that prices are skyrocketing. I've put together a list of components, but I'm looking for ways to make it cheaper. For example, I thought about opting for a less expensive motherboard. Here's the link to my current build: [PCPartPicker Build](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pgNzqH). Any tips on getting the price down would be greatly appreciated!

Totally consider getting a cheaper motherboard! You can find solid options for around $100 that should work just fine. Also, keep an eye out for used monitors and GPUs; they can usually be a great deal. Just make sure to read up on how to avoid scams when buying used gear!
Check out this alternate list I've put together. It focuses on keeping the cost below $1600.
**GPU**: AsRock Challenger Radeon RX 9070 XT, it's been priced at $599.99. Not available everywhere, but it’s worth the price if you can get it!
Here's a similar build with some price cuts:
**CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X - $192.00
**Cooler**: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 - $37.90
**Motherboard**: You might switch to MSI B850 for about $169.99.
**Memory**: Consider going for CL28 RAM instead; it's a little pricier, but can be worth it for performance.
**Total**: Approximately $1573.65. You can mix and match based on what fits your budget!

Isn't CL36 RAM a bit slow? Or will it not make much difference in gaming?
