I'm seeing incredibly high traffic to activity.windows.com, with a massive number of URL hits and bandwidth usage mainly from our Intune deployment. We've tried disabling the 'Upload User Activities' policy on our devices, but it didn't seem to help. After some investigation, I found instances where one PC reached out over 200 times in a single minute! I'm puzzled by this sudden increase. Has anyone successfully managed to reduce this traffic?

I did some searching about what activity.windows.com is all about, and there's not a lot of info out there. It seems to be a telemetry service. I suggest diving into your logs to see what's triggering those requests! That might help you identify the root of the problem.
You might want to look into disabling the Activity Service altogether. While it usually doesn't take up much bandwidth since it's just telemetry data, in your case, it sounds like there's an unexpected spike. We had similar issues, and I recommend checking if there's anything else going on that might be causing it.
That's wild! Before we limited our logging, we were hitting around 20 million requests per hour from activity.windows.com, racking up 1-200GB of bandwidth in just an hour! With around 15,000 devices connected, we also disabled the 'Upload User Activities' setting, but you might try disabling 'Publish User Activities' too, just in case.
