I accidentally spilled olive oil on my monitor when a bottle broke, and now there's oil visibly inside the screen. I've already removed some oil by taking off the back, but it's still there when I turn the monitor on. Is there a way to safely get rid of the oil without damaging the screen? What methods can I try?

You could consider using compressed air to blow the oil out. It's slippery enough that with enough pressure, it might slide out through some gaps. Just keep in mind that completely removing all traces of the oil could be tricky.
If you're comfortable disassembling the monitor, it is possible to clean the internal sheets, like the diffuser and polarizer, along with the LCD itself. Just make sure you’re cautious around the power supply when putting it back together.
One option is to try using isopropyl alcohol to clean the screen. Just gently rub it on the affected area. If the oil is trapped between the protective layer and the actual screen, you might have to open it up for a better clean. Just be careful while doing it!
