How Can I Replace My Computer’s Front Fans?

I'm looking to replace the three front fans on my ibuypower system. It's a bit old, and I've already had a few issues with the fans. The top fan died about a year after I bought it, and my brother replaced it with the back fan while putting in a generic one at the back for RGB. Now, two years later, the bottom fan is dead and the middle one seems to be failing too. I'd love some help on what exactly I need to buy to replace all three fans, especially since I want to make sure they'll work with my motherboard, which is a B560 DS3H AC. I'm considering these Corsair fans: [Corsair RS120 ARGB Fans](https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/case-fans/co-9050181-ww/rs120-argb-120mm-pwm-fans-triple-pack-co-9050181-ww). Any advice would be super helpful!

Replacing fans is pretty straightforward! First, power down your PC and unplug it. Trace the wires from the fans to see where they connect. Then, when buying new fans, make sure to get the right type—either 3-pin or 4-pin, depending on your setup. Unplug the old fans and unscrew them from the case. Attach the new fans and plug them in, then power everything back up to test. Just remember that fans can wear out easily, so maybe consider getting some fan filters to keep your system cleaner in the future.

Thanks for the tips! One thing I'm concerned about is that the original fans have a 6-pin connection and hook into a hub, which links to the 4-pin connection on my motherboard. I can't reuse the hub or find replacements from ibuypower, so I'm not sure what Corsair fans will work with that setup.

Definitely check your motherboard fan headers to see if they’re 3-pin or 4-pin. This will determine what kind of fans you can easily use. Since you mentioned they’re 4-pin, you should be good to go with most modern PWM fans, including the Corsair ones you’re looking at. Just make sure you pick a fan hub if you need more connections, or check online for compatible headers. Good luck!

I checked, and they are 4-pin. That makes me feel better about compatibility!
