Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to Linux and decided to give Q4OS Trinity a shot after trying out a few different distros. I really dig the retro vibe of it! But now I'm stuck trying to run some Windows apps and games without losing my mind over all the technicalities. I heard about things like Wine, Lutris, PlayOnLinux, Bottles, and Proton, but I can't seem to find them in the Q4OS Software Centre. I need a straightforward, step-by-step guide to get this going. I can handle basic terminal commands like 'sudo apt install' and 'sudo apt purge', but I wouldn't say I'm an expert or anything. I'm just looking for one reliable method that won't break my system. I'm interested in running older Windows games (like from the early 2000s), a couple of retro emulators, some Windows-only work apps, and maybe a few Steam games if possible. Here's what I'm working with: Q4OS Trinity (latest version), 8GB RAM (upgraded from 4GB), an i3-5005U CPU, and an AMD Radeon R5M330 GPU with 2GB VRAM.

You might want to enable Flatpak support since that can help you install those elusive programs. The Q4OS Software Centre may not have everything, but if you enable Flatpak, you can use commands to install those tools. Check out Flathub at flathub.org for the apps you need, including some game launchers that might have what you're looking for.
Also, remember to always mention your distro and hardware details when asking for help, as it makes it easier for others to assist. Just a little tip!
How do I enable Flatpak support? Does the Q4OS Software Centre support it, and what commands do I need?
