I'm trying to run some Windows games that I've downloaded legally on my system via Wine, but I'm having a really tough time getting it to work. When I try to launch the games, they just fail. Am I missing a step that I need to follow? I would greatly appreciate any help! By the way, I'm using Linux Mint.

Consider trying out the Heroic Games Launcher. It's a great tool for running games, especially if you're struggling with Wine.

Using Wine can get complicated; you might want to look into using a wrapper like Steam's Proton. It's often easier for running Windows games on Linux.

Here’s a step-by-step: 1. Create a Steam account 2. Install and launch Steam 3. Add a non-Steam game 4. Your game will now run through Proton instead of Wine. Alternatively, you can try Lutris!

Make sure to always mention your distro, your hardware details, and any specific error messages when asking for help with tech issues! It really helps others assist you better.

Have you considered using Lutris? It's a game manager that makes it simpler to install Windows games on Linux. Just go for the 'flatpak' version for an easier setup.

It's been a few weeks, and I honestly can't remember what I did. I followed some guide, but it didn't work. I'll give Lutris a shot because Wine feels a bit clunky to me.
