How can I safely cleanup leftover WindowsApps and orphaned .msi installers?

I'm looking for a reliable way to optimize or clean up leftover WindowsApps and orphaned .msi installers from my system. My previous attempt with MsiZap ended in disaster, and I've also faced issues with manual cleanup. Is there any software out there that can handle these tasks safely, particularly for advanced users?

While I can't speak for managing WindowsApps directly, I’ve had good success with a tool called PatchCleaner for orphaned .msi files in the C:WindowsInstaller folder. It hasn’t been updated in a while, but it still works well since MSIs haven’t really changed much over the years. Just be cautious when cleaning those up! Good luck!

For orphaned .msi and .msp files, PatchCleaner is definitely a safer choice! As for leftover WindowsApps, manual cleanup could lead to complications. I recommend using disk space analyzers like WinDirStat or TreeSize to identify large or unnecessary folders, but definitely don’t delete anything from the WindowsApps folder without checking what it is first.
