How Can I Save Money on My PC Build?

I'm looking to build a PC and I've already put together a list of parts totaling around AUD 3141.45. My current setup includes an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X CPU, a thermal cooler, a TUF GAMING motherboard, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, along with a 2TB SSD and a Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU. Do you have any tips on how I can either cut costs on these components or suggest any alternatives that might provide better value?

Look into bundle deals at local retailers. Sometimes you can get a CPU and motherboard together for less than buying them separately. You could also drop your RAM to 16GB and your SSD to 1TB to cut costs since those are pretty pricey now.

You might want to consider downgrading to DDR4 RAM and an older CPU if they fit your needs. It could save you a decent amount without sacrificing too much performance depending on what you'll be using the PC for.

Check out local marketplace sites for parts like the case and RAM. You could find good deals on new or even unused GPUs and CPUs for less than what you're looking at now—maybe save around $300 easily.

And hey, if you're using your dad's old keyboard, it might be worth investing in a decent gaming one when budget allows. It can really enhance your gaming experience!

If you're set on PCIe 5.0, make sure your motherboard supports it for both the GPU and SSD. If not, the B850 could be a good option and usually at a similar price point to that B650E. It’s worth double-checking!
