How Can I Secure a PC Tower to Prevent Tampering?

I'm building a PC for my nephew, who has autism and doesn't always understand the consequences of his actions. He loves taking things apart and has broken previous computers by opening them up and damaging the parts. I have a case to upgrade an older computer, but I need ideas for physically securing it so he can't open it easily. Options that can be affixed to the case are preferred, but I'm open to purchasing a new one if necessary. I thought about a locked box with ports for cords, but I want him to access the USB and audio ports. I get that teaching him about technology might be ideal, but since I don't live with him, I'm looking for effective ways to keep the computer safe while allowing him some enjoyment.

A solid first option would be to get a refurbished corporate PC since these often have a Kensington lock slot to prevent unauthorized access. If you consider the locked box route, you can set up a USB hub outside the box for peripherals. Also, look into extending audio connections—some speakers come with audio jacks that could help.

Just a heads up on the Kensington locks—they're not completely theft-proof. If someone really wanted to break in, they could sometimes pry it off fairly easily. Look for a tower that has a loop or slot for a cable lock instead.
