I had my account hacked recently, and although I've already changed my password on Reddit and other sites, I'm still concerned about my security. I discovered comments on posts that I never made and found out that the hackers seemed to be from Cyprus and Germany. Plus, when I checked a subreddit I joined, I was shocked to see that I'm subscribed to a bunch of NSFW communities, some of which are really disturbing. I need advice on how to properly secure my Reddit account and how I can leave these unwanted NSFW subreddits.

If things are really out of hand, you might want to consider creating a new account. It can be a fresh start without all the old ties.
Make sure to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your account. It adds an extra layer of security. As for leaving subreddits, you have to visit each one and click the 'joined' button to unsubscribe. It might take some time, but it's the only way.
I found an old Reddit layout link where you can see all the subs you’re in. It made it a lot easier to leave. Hope that helps!
