Hey everyone! I'm looking for a way to send links or cast content from my phone to a Windows computer that we have in our meeting room at work. We usually use it to display information during meetings, but sometimes someone needs to show a webpage or a YouTube video that should be visible to everyone. We're not keen on using a Chromecast right now, and I've heard that screen mirroring might not work well for what we need. So, is there any method to do this without setting up screen mirroring? Thanks!

From what you're describing, it sounds like screen mirroring or casting would be the primary solution. You don't necessarily have to go with a Chromecast; there are other devices available for this purpose too. At my workplace, we use ClickShare, which makes it pretty easy to share screens. However, if it's just about pulling up a webpage, I suggest just accessing it directly on the PC in the meeting room. If the URL is tricky, you can use apps like Teams or Slack to send the link directly from your phone to the computer.

Thanks, I think it might be overkill for our needs! The link-sharing suggestion is a great idea. I did some reading on screen sharing options in Windows, but it seems like they have issues with DRM blocking most content. A Chromecast might just be the simplest solution.
