How can I set my RGB lights to stay white on startup instead of the rainbow effect?

Hey everyone, I put together a white PC a few months back, and I'm running into this frustrating RGB issue. Every time I fully power down my PC and turn it back on, all the RGB lights—like the fans and RAM—start up with this default rainbow effect. This continues until Windows boots up, and only then does it switch to my preferred color (which is white). Is there any way to change the RGB settings on a hardware level to ensure it stays white as soon as I turn the PC on, or to disable the rainbow effect entirely? I'd appreciate any guidance on this!

Chances are, most basic RGB hardware doesn't have the ability to store your preferred settings. They usually default to some type of animation until they receive commands from software after boot.

Does that mean a controller hub wouldn't help?

What types of RGB lights are you using? If you're on Windows 11, you might want to fiddle with the Dynamic Lighting feature—it could help with some settings.

I've got mainly fans and RAM lighting. The thing is, even when I try the Dynamic Lighting or other RGB control apps, everything just jumps back to that default rainbow during restarts. Once Windows is up, then it switches to white, which is really annoying.
