Hey folks! I've been using LMDE for a while now, and after watching PewDiePie's video, I'm super pumped to dive into Arch Linux. I've got a spare laptop that I want to completely wipe and install Arch on. I loved the way he had his workstation and desktop set up—especially the bash configurations. Does anyone know of a comprehensive guide or master post that can help me achieve a similar setup? I'm more interested in functionality than appearance, but I'd love to learn how to get everything set up like he did!

I'd recommend sticking to the official repositories for packages and be cautious with using the AUR, especially if you're just starting out. It’s safer and helps avoid issues down the road.
There are plenty of YouTube videos on ricing your system with tiling window managers. Find a config you like and adjust it to suit your personal taste! It's a great way to make your setup unique.
To get started with Arch, definitely follow the Arch Wiki for the installation. It's the best source! Once you’ve got Arch installed, you might want to check out YouTube tutorials for setting up Hyprland and Waybar since there are tons of them out there.
From what I've seen, Hyperland looks cool, though I haven't tried it myself. If you're not too familiar with how Linux systems work, I'd suggest using the archinstall script, as it’s pretty user-friendly! If you're set on doing it yourself, though, you'll learn a lot more that way!
Make sure to follow the Arch Installation Guide to start with. After that, you can install Hyprland using the proper guides. Don’t forget to understand the commands so you can troubleshoot along the way! Tutorials are your best friend here.
If you want inspiration for your Arch setup, don't forget to check out r/unixporn! It’s full of cool designs. Just search for "hyprland" to see related posts for specific configurations and dotfiles. It's an awesome community!
I agree that while archinstall can help, it’s also better for those who know a bit about the system. Tinkering around gets you hands-on knowledge!
