I have an AsRock X670E motherboard paired with a Ryzen 9 7950X processor, and I'm looking to set up dual monitors. Right now, I only have one monitor connected via HDMI, but my motherboard has a spare DisplayPort. My new monitor comes with both HDMI and DisplayPort connections. This is my first experience with dual monitors, and I'm not sure how to get everything set up. Is it even possible with my current configuration? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

To get your dual monitor setup up and running, just plug your new monitor into the available DisplayPort on your motherboard. It should auto-detect the monitor when you turn it on! It's pretty straightforward, so you should be all set without any extra hassle.
Yep, just connect your new monitor to that open DisplayPort. It should work without any issues! Don't stress; it's easier than it sounds. You're going to love having the extra screen real estate!
Thanks for the reassurance! I've never done this before, so just trying to get all the tips I can.
Honestly, just give it a try! You might be surprised at how easy it is. Plus, you're checking in advance, which is smart!
I haven't bought the new monitor yet, but I plan to soon. Just wanted some advice before I dive in!

Thanks for the tip! I always thought DisplayPort was less reliable than HDMI, but I guess I was mistaken!
