Hey everyone! So, my Asus TUF RTX 3060 Ti bit the dust yesterday, and it's super frustrating since it only lasted four months after the warranty expired. I started noticing artifacts, and then my display went black with no signal when the card was under heavy load like gaming or stress testing with Furmark. I thought maybe it was a power supply issue, so I swapped it out for a new one, but that didn't solve the problem. I even tested the GPU in a different PC, and unfortunately, it confirmed that the card is faulty.
At this point, I'm on the hunt for a new graphics card. Here are my specs:
- MPG Z590
- i5-11600k
- 32GB (2x16GB) 3600MHz RAM
- 1440p monitor
- Bequiet 12M 850W PSU (which might be overkill, but I got it with future upgrades in mind)
I'm looking at the following GPUs:
- RX 9060 XT 16GB
- RX 7800 XT
- RTX 5070
I also came across the Intel Arc B850, which is cheaper. I've listed them based on the prices I can find locally. Do these options make sense for my setup? Will they still be a good fit if I decide to upgrade my CPU and motherboard in a year or two? If anyone has other suggestions in my price range, I'm all ears!
Also, I have the opportunity to buy a used RX 6700 XT for over half the price of the options listed, which is tempting!

You might want to consider the RTX 5070. It's like a baby 5080 but at a more reasonable price. It should work well with your current setup and leave some headroom for future upgrades too!
Have you thought about the 5060 Ti? It wasn't on your list, but might be a solid option depending on your budget. Just keep in mind that if you're gaming at 1440p, you'll want something that can handle that well.
Before diving into a new GPU, it might be worth looking into replacing the thermal paste and heat pads on the old one. I've had success reviving cards that were overheating due to old thermal compound! But since you've already confirmed the card is faulty, focusing on a new GPU seems like the way to go.

That's a great idea! I already tested the card with Furmark and noticed some odd behavior, but I guess it's dead for good now. Still, thanks for the tip!
