Hey everyone, I got my iPhone repaired due to a motherboard issue, but now I'm stuck logged into my mom's Apple ID. I signed in using her account because I couldn't verify my own, and now I need to sign out to log into mine. The problem is, I need her password to log out, and she doesn't remember it. We tried the 'Forgot Password' option, but it didn't help. To make matters worse, I received a message saying I can't sign out until November 5 due to security restrictions. I'd love to fix this without having to make a long trip to the Apple Store. Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you, this was super helpful. I'll definitely try changing her password!
Just curious, why didn't you set up the phone without signing into her account in the first place? That might've saved you some trouble.
You can try using the 'Change Password' option on your mom's iPhone. Head to Settings, tap on her name, then go to Sign-In & Security, and select Change Password. This might let you access the account without the old password. Just a heads up for the future, if you face issues when setting up a new iPhone, it's best to do it without an Apple ID initially. Then you can set it up after verifying everything works fine.

That’s a good point! Also, if her phone number is working, you should be able to receive the verification code as an SMS. I've found that iOS usually picks that up automatically without issue.
