I'm considering upgrading my setup and I own the be quiet! Pure Power 12 1000W PSU. It's not the M version, and I'm trying to figure out if it'll work with an RTX 5080. The PSU has a PCIe 5.1 12V-2x6 cable that's labeled as "300W". Will this be sufficient?

You shouldn't have any problems using that PSU with the 5080.

For the RTX 5080, it's better to have at least a 450W 12v2x6 cable. It's strange that a 1000W PSU is lacking a more powerful option. Double-check your PSU specs!

Oops, I actually checked again and it does have a 600W cable! Thanks for the heads up! 😀

Yes, your PSU should work just fine with the RTX 5080.

I think the 300W rating on the cable might be a bit low. If you have other PCIe 8+2 pin connectors, you can use those with an adapter, which could help.

I'm confused because be quiet! said that the Pure Power 12 is compatible with the 50 series, but the cable says 300W while the 5080 needs 360W. What gives?
