Hey everyone! I need some guidance on how to improve the performance of my laptop. I haven't used it for a couple of years, and it's running really slowly now, particularly during startup and when launching programs. I believe it's an ASUS UX430U Zenbook, and it's about 7 years old. Since I don't have any important files to keep, I'm open to any suggestions that could help boost its speed. Whether it involves deleting files or doing a full reset, I'm all ears. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Definitely agree with what TechWhiz45 mentioned about upgrading to an SSD. It can seriously cut down on loading times. Besides that, you could also consider doing a thorough cleanup by uninstalling programs you never use and checking for any malware or bloatware that might be slowing down your system. You might be surprised at how much of a difference that can make!
One of the best upgrades you can make is switching from a mechanical hard drive (HDD) to a solid-state drive (SSD). This can significantly speed up boot times and overall performance. My experience is that with an SSD, my computer was ready to use in just a few seconds compared to the 10 minutes it used to take with an HDD! Also, check for any unnecessary programs that might be running in the background. Head over to Task Manager, and disable any startup programs you don't need. Just be careful not to turn off something important if you’re unsure!
That's really helpful, thanks! I'll look into getting an SSD and cleaning up unwanted programs to see if it makes a difference!
