How can I speed up my 7-year-old PC?

I bought a Cyberpower PC back in 2017, and it's starting to feel really slow lately. I mainly use it for web browsing and some light gaming (like watercraft games). Here are my specs: Intel i7-7700K, 16GB RAM, a mix of a 240GB SSD and a 1TB HDD, and an ASUS GTX 1070 for graphics. What can I do to modernize it and improve its performance?

Honestly, your PC can still handle many games! A fresh install of Windows might help. Also, make sure to clean it up and potentially upgrade your RAM if you want even more performance.

Thanks for the encouragement! I’ll go ahead and reset Windows and clean my system.

Your HDD might be on its way out. I recommend backing up your data and cloning everything to a new SSD—it'll dramatically improve speed!

You should consider wiping your OS and doing a fresh install. Sometimes, old files just slow things down, and a clean slate can do wonders!
