I've been with my boyfriend for almost a year and he's a passionate programmer who works in a cloud company doing networking. He uses various languages like Rust, Go, C#, and C. Whenever he talks about his projects or new implementations, I feel lost since I have zero background in programming except for a simple calculator he taught me to code in Python. I genuinely want to understand what he's talking about to share his enthusiasm for programming. Where should I start learning? Any beginner-friendly resources or guidance would be appreciated!

The lectures are engaging and will help fill in gaps like why programming languages are structured the way they are. You’ll learn a mix of theory and practical coding that’s perfect for beginners. Plus, there are many resources available to help you along the way!
It’s a good idea to base your learning on something you’re truly interested in. Maybe see if there’s a specific programming project or idea you’d like to pursue. This way, you’re more likely to stay committed. Try to keep it hands-on, and you might find learning languages like Python or even C# easier since they have a lot of resources available.
Why not ask your boyfriend directly? I'm sure he'd love to help you learn. You don't have to understand every technical detail; just showing interest can lead to great conversations and learning opportunities!

CS50 is great! Just commit to doing the whole course and you'll be challenged in fun ways. It’s well-designed and will give you a real sense of coding basics and the underlying logic that transcends different programming languages.
