I'm a 22-year-old biology student who's always been fascinated by programming. I've started learning Python, but I'm eager to expand my knowledge. My goal is to eventually work as a freelancer or find a job in a small company to kickstart my career in tech. What recommendations do you have for someone in my position?

I'd suggest considering a four-year degree in Computer Science if that's something you're open to. Internships during your studies are super valuable as they give practical experience. But just to note, there's plenty of people who switch into tech without a formal degree, relying on self-teaching, boot camps, or personal projects. Building a portfolio of your work can really make you stand out.

Totally agree! I switched from biology to tech without going back for another degree and found success by building projects and contributing to open source.
