I've been with my company for around 8 years, and until recently, it was mostly just me and my manager handling everything. I was super busy—juggling projects, tickets, and deployments all day long. About a year ago, my manager started bringing in specialized people, which helped a lot, but then about six months ago, he hired several project engineers and specialists. Now, I've found my workload slashed to about three hours a day, even on busy days. I've already updated documentation, helped with tickets, and done inventory. I'm aware I can aim for certifications, but I'm looking for more immediate, tangible ways to ensure I'm useful in this new setup.
