I've been dealing with a relentless stream of spam calls lately, and it's really frustrating. I've had my phone number for six years and I want to keep it, but it seems like I started receiving these spam calls about eight months ago. Sometimes, I get as many as 26 calls in a single day! I'm pretty careful about sharing my number, so I'm not sure how it's getting around. I've tried AT&T's call protection, and Hiya just gives me info I already know, but it doesn't really help. Plus, those spam callers keep leaving 5-second silent voicemails that fill up my inbox. I block every one of them, but it's like they just keep coming. I'm considering two services, DeleteMe and Aura, to help me with this issue. Does anyone have experience with these services or other suggestions? I never had this problem when I was with Sprint or T-Mobile, and I've already signed up for the do not call registry. Any advice would be appreciated!

When we were building our service, we faced similar spam issues. We found that usual removal services only tackle the big data brokers. If you're looking for better coverage, think about going with a service that indexes more brokers. Small data brokers often let your info slip through the cracks, and that's where the spam originates.
Check if your phone has an option to reject calls from unknown numbers or those not in your contacts. My S24 has this feature, and it's been super helpful in cutting down the spam.
You might want to look into removing your information from data brokers. I know of a service called Optery that does a great job at this. It's wise to compare services to find one that covers all those little data brokers that are often the source of relentless spam calls. Good luck!
One thing you can try is getting a phone with a call screening feature. These phones answer calls and ask the caller to state why they're calling, which can scare off spam callers. It's pretty cool because you can see the transcript of the call on your screen. It works surprisingly well!
I've actually put SIT tones in my voicemail. It took a little while, but it might just do the trick for you. After a couple of days, I noticed my spam calls reduced significantly for a few months!

Yeah, my Pixel does that too! It's been great at reducing spam. Seems like it really frustrates the scammers.
