I've been dealing with a McAfee security warning that keeps showing up on my screen periodically, and it's really annoying. I'm wondering how to disable it. I tried to uninstall it, so I'll see if that helps.

The quickest way to get rid of that warning is to uninstall McAfee completely if you don’t need it. Just go to your control panel and uninstall it from there. It usually does the trick!
Before you uninstall, make sure that it’s actually McAfee. Sometimes people see fake messages that resemble security alerts, usually showing up in the bottom right of the screen. You might want to take a screenshot of the warning so you can double-check.
I'm almost positive I actually have it! But I’m not sure how to confirm.
Here’s a link to a screenshot of what I saw when I had a fake alert! You can compare it.
If you’ve confirmed McAfee is installed, definitely go ahead and uninstall it. If you haven’t and the warning persists, you might want to look into turning off any notifications that are enabled in your browser. That could help too!
If you're unsure about uninstalling, you might want to ask if you actually need McAfee. Many people find it's fine not to have it, especially with other free antivirus options available. Just make sure your system is still secure!

I'll do that. Thanks!
