How can I stop the ‘USB device not recognized’ notifications on Windows 11?

I've been dealing with this frustrating situation where I keep getting a notification on my Windows 11, saying, "the last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it." It pops up every 30 seconds or so, even though I haven't connected any new devices. I've already tried disconnecting all USB devices, and I checked that each USB port works fine by testing with different devices. I even found an 'Unknown USB device (Device descriptor request failed)' in the device manager that keeps appearing and disappearing, no matter how many times I try to uninstall or disable it. On top of that, I've turned off notifications and tried do not disturb, but the sound continues. What can I do to fix this or at least silence the notifications?

It sounds like one of your built-in USB devices might be malfunctioning. Try stopping the error sounds by going to Control Panel > Sound and turning off the 'Device Connect' and 'Disconnect' sounds. That should help with the annoying notifications if you can't figure out the root cause.
