How can I tell if my apps are Universal binaries?

I'm getting a new M5 Pro MacBook Pro since I'm switching from an Intel laptop. I need some help figuring out how to identify which of my apps are Universal binaries or just Intel-only. I've tried asking AI for help, but it hasn't been very useful. Any tips would be appreciated!

Another way to find out is to go to the Apple menu, select 'About This Mac', and press Cmd+N. Then click on 'Software' in the sidebar. It should list the apps along with their kind in one of the columns. It’s pretty straightforward!

This is it! Thank you so much!

I’m seeing some entries labeled as 'Other' for kind. What does that mean?

You can check using Activity Monitor. Universal apps will show as 64-bit, so that's a good indicator! Just keep an eye on the details there.
