How Can I Tell if My CPU or Motherboard is Dead After Getting a ‘No Signal’ Error?

Hey everyone! I built my PC about three months ago and it was running perfectly until today. While I was watching a livestream, I suddenly realized there was no sound coming from my living room. I went to check, and the TV was showing a 'no signal' message. I tried everything I could think of: switched HDMI cables, used different ports on the PC and TV, reset the CMOS, and even tested with another monitor. No luck! When I restart the PC, I can't even reach the BIOS; it's just blank. The fans are working fine, including the CPU fan, which makes me wonder if the CPU might be dead. I really would like to know what to try next to figure out if it's the CPU or motherboard before I send anything back. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

First thing to check: does your PC make any beeping sounds when you start it up? Those BIOS beep codes can tell you a lot about what might be wrong. If you’re not getting any beeps, or just a short one, it likely means nothing’s wrong. Also, make sure your CPU has integrated graphics (which it does) and try booting without the GPU—as in, unplug it, then connect your HDMI directly from the motherboard to the TV. Switch the TV to the right HDMI input and see if that works when you power it back on.

You might actually be facing a PSU issue. If it’s not supplying enough power or failing, it could lead to those no signal problems. It’s worth checking that out!
