How Can I Tell if My Phone Has Malware?

A few days ago, I noticed my ChatGPT app acting weird after I connected to a public Wi-Fi using a VPN. I heard someone say that it could be a sign of malware since the app might be able to detect deeper threats in the system. But I'm confused—why would just one app say there's malware when I haven't seen any other signs of problems? After logging out and back into my account, ChatGPT started working fine again, but I'm still worried about potential malware on my Android phone. Is there any way for me to confirm that malware is actually there? I'd really like to avoid resetting my phone if possible.

First off, it's important to verify that the ChatGPT app you’re using is indeed the official version from OpenAI. There are many fake apps that could be malware. ChatGPT itself isn't designed to detect malware; it's just a chat app. If your device is compromised, it’s usually due to downloading malicious software. If you want to be sure, you might consider running a trusted antivirus app to scan your device for potential threats.

I didn’t think about that! I made sure I was using the official app, but I’ll definitely scan my phone with an antivirus just to be safe. Better safe than sorry!
